Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at KBR. As a key member of our infrastructure services business, you will be responsible for overseeing and participating in design and implementation projects across Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in engineering projects, including concept, feasibility, design, construction support, and commissioning related to the electrical discipline.
- Prepare electrical designs for LV and MV power systems, including drawings and electrical calculations.
- Develop engineering documents, including design reports, scopes of work, equipment schedules, and datasheets.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary internal and external project teams and coordinate drafting throughout the design process.
- Interface with clients and suppliers to ensure compliance with relevant standards, project basis of design documents, and functional specifications.
- Involve in tender processes for preparing bid documents, identifying deliverable lists, and developing relevant engineering hour estimates.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to young engineers, sharing best practices, industry knowledge, and innovative approaches to foster professional development within the team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- Significant professional electrical engineering experience in consultancy, utility, mining, or resources environments.
- Ability to perform power system analysis and protection studies using ETAP or PTW electrical software.
- Previous experience with power distribution and equipment specification.
- Design knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate and work with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Defense security clearance is not mandatory but highly regarded.
- Applicants must currently reside in Australia and hold Australian permanent residency or citizenship.
