About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Grain Handler to join our team at GrainCorp. As a critical member of our country grain storage sites, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and safe service to local grain growers and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sample grain received at the site, testing for protein, moisture, and contaminants against specifications.
  • Receive sampled grain via truck at the weighbridge and enter weights into our system.
  • Monitor the flow of grain from truck unloading and onto hopper, auger, or other equipment.
  • Protect and store grain in bunkers or permanent silo storage.
  • Sweep, shovel, blow down dust, and perform general housekeeping activities.
  • Operate equipment, including augers, tractors, hoppers, and loaders.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in general laboring and ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Experience in agriculture, logistics, trades, or construction is preferred.
  • Good communication skills, safety-conscious behavior, and reliability.
  • Forklift, front-end loader ticket, or HR Truck license is advantageous.
  • Computer literacy.
