Job Overview

We seek an experienced senior process engineer to lead advanced engineering concepts in mineral processing technology.


About the Role

This position involves working closely with the R&D team to bring expert metallurgist knowledge for lithium extraction projects.

Lithium is a critical component in battery production, and our goal is to develop cleaner lithium extraction processes reducing environmental impact.

Our team directly utilises carbon dioxide to produce high purity, battery grade lithium carbonate and other battery chemicals.


Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake engineering tasks on projects to optimise processes ensuring safe designs, reduce operational costs and improve quality.
  • Work with and manage process engineers and other disciplines to deliver documentation and design for large mineral extraction projects.
  • Compile Process Flow Diagrams, along with associated mass and energy balance calculations.
  • Develop and read P&ID's.

Ideal Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in hydrometallurgy, working with complicated engineering projects.
  • Experience in crystallisation, fluidised bed, mineral leaching or carbonation and RO/IX design and operations.
  • University degree in chemical engineering, metallurgy or equivalent, recognised by relevant professional bodies.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in design, commissioning and/or operational experience of hydrometallurgical processing equipment.
  • Knowledge/experience in scoping and management of metallurgical test work programs.
