Senior Instrument Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instrument Technician to join our team at Bairnsdale Regional Health Service. As a Senior Instrument Technician, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) and working collaboratively with our Perioperative leadership team to ensure the needs and services of our consumers are met.

• Provide effective leadership, direction, and supervision to the instrument technician team
• Ensure appropriate departmental policies and procedures are in place and followed
• Ensure compliance with sterilization standards is consistently achieved
• Work collaboratively with the Perioperative leadership team to meet the needs and services of our consumers

• Certificate IV in Sterilization Services
• 4 years' experience as an Instrument Technician (full-time equivalent)
• Demonstrated ability to work in all areas of CSSD at an advanced level and provide leadership
• Proven ability to prioritize competing issues and negotiate timeframes, while still providing a quality customer service
• Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
