Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Brisbane office. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies. Your expertise will be essential in preparing technical reports related to specific design issues and delivering best practice technical solutions in accordance with project scope, timeframes, and standards.

Responsibilities

* Contribute to the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies
* Prepare technical reports related to specific design issues
* Deliver best practice technical solutions in accordance with project scope, timeframes, and standards
* Prepare equipment procurement packages, designs, calculations, and cost estimates for conventional engineering, research, and development assignments
* Familiar with standard discipline deliverables and work process on projects
* Demonstrate initiative and basic leadership skills to give direction within a small work group
* Develop networks and relationships within teams, across the organisation, and with clients
* Assist with the preparation of proposals and tenders (such as estimating design hours)

Requirements

* Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering
* Proven experience in a similar role
* Previous experience working in engineering consulting, EPC/EPCM in the mining and resources sectors
* Design experience using ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or Hexagon Smartplant
* Sound understanding of current codes and standards including Australian and IEC/IEEE
* RPEQ or willing to work towards accreditation
* Willingness to travel is highly desirable
