Risk Management Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in business, law, risk management or a related field and significant experience in a risk and compliance role within a regulatory environment.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Lead to champion our organisation's compliance culture and ensure we meet all regulatory obligations across our diverse service areas.

This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in safeguarding the quality, safety, and integrity of early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve risk management frameworks and compliance systems.
  • Provide expert advice, lead internal audits, and deliver training to build a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and audit services to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance matters, complaints, and incidents.
  • Coordinate the organisational risk register.
  • Prepare the organisation for audits, assessments, and regulatory reviews.
  • Deliver compliance and risk training to build staff capability.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Promote a proactive risk culture and encourage incident reporting.
  • Oversee governance reports for the Executive and Board.
  • Develop business continuity and crisis management plans.
  • Monitor third-party and contract compliance obligations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in a risk and compliance role within a regulatory environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and training delivery skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong time management.
