We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Writer to join our team.

Job Description

This role involves driving innovative technical publication authoring and writing solutions, managing technical writing activities, and collaborating with Tech Pub Authors, Illustrators, and Multimedia experts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality technical publications meeting all project requirements, including safety and regulatory standards.
  • Define technical writing needs, participate in system design and review processes.
  • Develop documentation per industry standards.
  • Participate in validation activities.
  • Contribute to continuous development and project policies.
  • Manage and guide peers as needed.
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technical Writer to join our Hunter Class Frigate program on a permanent full-time basis.

Working across all aspects of Maritime Technical Publications, you will be responsible for driving innovative technical publication authoring and writing solutions and managing your technical writing activities to meet project goals.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Technical Writing/Authoring, effective communication skills with stakeholders, proficiency with authoring tools and MS Office, and leadership experience in managing technical teams.

Requirements
  • Diploma or qualification in Technical Writing or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Technical Writing/Authoring.
  • Effective communication skills with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with authoring tools and MS Office.
  • Leadership experience in managing technical teams is beneficial.
  • Understanding of S1000D and maritime technical publications is highly desirable.
