Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist, Supply Chain

Description:

Metcash is seeking a skilled professional to join their team as a Distribution Centre Talent Acquisition Specialist.

This role plays a vital part in attracting, selecting, and retaining award-winning team members across the supermarket distribution centre. The successful candidate will partner with labour hire agencies and internal stakeholders to maintain a high-quality workforce.

The key responsibilities include coordinating pre-employment medicals, liaising with the health & injury management team, supporting leaders in onboarding, probation, and driving strong retention outcomes, building pipelines by engaging with local community groups, institutions, and alternative labour pools, managing internal referral processes, and collating recruitment activity reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong administration, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Experience using various sourcing strategies, including direct hire, labour hire, community, and social media.
  • Detailed knowledge of warehouse DC operations, including storeworker, MHE, and inventory management.
  • Understanding of local labour market trends and EVP-based attraction strategies.
  • Able to influence and partner with leadership teams and external providers.
  • Proven ability to manage labour hire relationships in a warehouse or supply chain environment.
  • Effective relationship-building skills at all levels.
