Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Animal Technologist to contribute to the optimum welfare of laboratory animals at Monash University. The successful candidate will provide support to research projects, working with a variety of species in a laboratory setting.

About the Role

As a Senior Animal Technologist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a designated unit, promoting animal welfare and providing a professional, efficient service to researchers. You will supply quality animals, participate in and support research projects, and liaise with researchers to ensure their specific needs are met.

  • Contribute to the optimum welfare of laboratory animals
  • Provide support to research projects and staff
  • Be a part of an inclusive, collaborative team

About You

We are looking for someone with a Diploma of Applied Science (Animal Technology) or progression towards the completion of a Diploma in Animal Technology, with relevant work experience in a laboratory animal facility environment or an equivalent combination of knowledge, training, and experience. You will possess a passion for working with animals and a collegial, collaborative, and engaging work ethic.
