Thiess Mount Pleasant Operation is seeking a highly skilled FMS Technology Technician to join our team, reporting to the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor. This is a residential position with a lifestyle 5/4 4/5 5/5 12 hour dayshift only roster.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and installation of infrastructure and systems that support the Fleet Management System (FMS) and other smart machine systems used on our operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with installations on new machines
- Carrying out inspections and repairs during machine overhauls
- Performing system upgrades as required
- Building close working relationships with equipment OEMs, Ivolve, CAT, Liebherr etc
About You
- Ideal candidates will have a trade qualification in Electronics and Communications and hold an Open cabling licence, or in one of the following trades with a strong background in FMS and networking systems and hold an Open cabling licence: Auto electrician and Open cabling licence, Electrical and Open cabling licence
Desirable skills include good knowledge of Fleet Management Systems, Terrain drill profiling data capture with GPS correction, High Precision Global Positioning Systems, Video Cameras monitoring the open cut operations, Cabled and Wireless networks and associated infrastructure, DAMM and Sepura digital radio infrastructure.
