About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Melbourne Donor Centre as a Phlebotomy Assistant. You will be responsible for supporting our donors throughout their donation process, working collaboratively to achieve collection targets and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Greet and interview potential donors to determine eligibility and suitability for donation
- Conduct routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
- Prepare equipment and supplies for phlebotomy procedures
- Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
- Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for future donations
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, a passion for delivering high-quality customer service, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be physically fit and able to perform tasks that require occasional lifting, standing, and walking.
