The Opportunity

As a key member of our Hotel Services team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care and service to our residents. Reporting to the Head Chef, your primary responsibilities will include food preparation and service, in-room dining, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining areas.

This is a physically demanding role that requires you to be able to lift, bend, and move items safely. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient service, and provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure a positive experience for our residents.

The Role
  • Prepare and serve delicious meals to our residents, ensuring they are presented in an appealing and appetizing manner.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas, including all related equipment.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to strict health and safety protocols, including those related to food handling and preparation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for our residents.

This role requires you to be able to work independently with minimal supervision, think on your feet, and problem-solve effectively. You will also be required to communicate effectively with colleagues and residents, and maintain a positive and respectful attitude at all times.

About You
  • You have a minimum of 6 months' experience in a kitchen or hospitality role, preferably within the aged care sector.
  • You possess strong workplace safety skills, including the ability to follow set procedures and guidelines.
  • You are a good communicator and team player, with excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • You are able to problem-solve effectively, think on your feet, and work with limited supervision.
  • You have a genuine passion for providing exceptional care and service to our residents.
