Lead Carbon Accounting and Climate Disclosures Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Lead to own the carbon accounting and climate disclosures function, leading emissions measurement, ensuring compliance with mandatory reporting requirements, and setting methodological standards.


About the Role
  • Lead carbon accounting processes across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
  • Prepare mandatory climate disclosure reports (e.g., AASB S2, ISSB).
  • Stay across regulatory, policy, and market developments and translate changes into practical updates for reporting and accounting.
  • Define and refine methodological standards for carbon accounting, ensuring both compliance and usability.
  • Ensure methodologies and data sources remain accurate, current, and aligned with recognised standards.
  • Advise clients on reporting obligations, disclosures, and credible climate pathways.

Requirements
  • Proven track record in carbon accounting and emissions measurement.
  • Strong knowledge of climate disclosure frameworks (AASB S2, ISSB, TCFD or equivalent).
  • Ability to interpret and apply evolving emissions data and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Clear and confident communicator, able to translate technical information for business audiences.
  • Experience shaping sustainability strategies and advising on reporting obligations.
