Job Summary

The Commercial Credit Officer role at ColCap requires a skilled professional with experience in credit assessment and management. As a mid-senior level employee, you will play a critical role in evaluating commercial credit applications, ensuring timely loan processing, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key tasks include:

  • Evaluating commercial credit applications in accordance with SLA's and company policies.
  • Ensuring loans are processed efficiently to meet contract deadlines.
  • Liaising with staff, brokers, mortgage managers, originators, agencies, and other third-party suppliers from acceptance through to settlement.
  • Effective communication of credit decisions to all parties, ensuring transparency and understanding of credit requirements and decisions.
  • Providing support to other credit department team members as needed.
  • Maintaining focus on enhancing customer service skills and knowledge.
  • Having a clear understanding of small business lending, financial statements, and cash flow analysis.
  • Being commercially astute and able to assess credit situations that do not meet stipulated criteria in policy, with recommendations to DLA holders.
  • Following up loan enquiries and aiding applicants throughout the application process, ensuring high-quality customer service.
  • Evaluating, assessing, and processing loan applications in accordance with agreed customer SLA.
  • Demonstrating Company Values.
