Job Title: Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to support the design, deployment and maintenance of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines in a Microsoft Azure environment.

This role will play a key part in delivering cloud-native solutions, supporting business-critical applications, and ensuring compliance with government security and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for automated deployment and configuration of cloud resources.
  • Deploy, configure and support infrastructure in Azure subscriptions, including virtual machines, firewalls, and web application firewalls.
  • Provide Level 3 support for Azure-hosted business applications and infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the design, development and implementation of a secure and scalable Azure hosting platform.
  • Manage virtual infrastructure, Azure Data Factories, and other cloud-native services.
  • Develop and maintain Terraform modules and code libraries using Agile methodologies.
  • Support and advise on Microsoft cloud services including M365, Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Intune.
  • Apply infrastructure changes securely and promptly, adhering to IT change management protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, project managers, and cybersecurity teams to ensure timely and compliant delivery.
  • Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation for deployments and infrastructure services.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience managing large-scale Azure deployments and production environments.
  • Strong expertise in Azure DevOps, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Dynamics 365 administration and support.
  • Experience working with developers and business stakeholders to deliver cloud-based solutions.
  • Familiarity with government IT security frameworks (e.g., ACSC Essential Eight).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage infrastructure change requests in compliance-driven environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working with Azure Connect Hub or similar hybrid cloud integration technologies.
  • Exposure to Agile delivery environments and DevOps best practices.
