Job Title: Project Site Manager

Are you an experienced construction professional looking for a challenging and rewarding role? Do you have strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate site activities effectively?

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing high-rise apartment/multi-residential projects, with a strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, WHS, and QA. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from planning and execution to delivery and handover.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supervising trades and subcontractors to ensure compliance with program, quality, and safety standards.
  • Reviewing and implementing Integrated Training Plans (ITPs) in conjunction with the site team and Safety, Quality, and Procedures (SQP).
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and scopes of work across all trade packages.
  • Assisting in developing short- and medium-range programs and ensuring implementation on-site.
  • Maintaining accurate daily site diaries and compiling defect lists, ensuring rectifications are completed.
  • Coordinating site activities to minimize disruption and maximize productivity.
  • Assisting the Project Manager/EH&S team in preparing and reviewing project risk registers, project management plans, and emergency procedures.
  • Conducting safety briefings, toolbox talks, and ensuring all site inductions and worker competencies are recorded.
  • Overseeing statutory compliance including signage, emergency response, first aid provisions, and site amenities.
  • Monitoring SWMS compliance, participating in audits and inspections, and reporting incidents/near misses.
  • Ensuring non-conformances are documented, corrective actions closed out, and plant/equipment records maintained.
  • Overseeing the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), hazardous materials, and electrical tool compliance.
  • Training and supervising site staff, identifying development needs, and supporting a culture of safety and performance.
  • Contributing to monthly project reporting, safety statistics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a Site Manager on high-rise apartment/multi-residential projects ($50M+).
  • Trade qualification or tertiary degree in Building & Construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, WHS, and QA.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving, safety, and risk management.
