Job Role Overview

Allied health professionals play a vital role in assisting job seekers with complex barriers to employment by conducting comprehensive assessments, providing therapeutic interventions, facilitating group sessions, and offering recommendations for external services.

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of candidates with diverse disabilities and barriers to employment;
  • Offer tailored counselling interventions as needed, utilising various psychological methodologies and techniques;
  • Referral to additional support services to address barriers and facilitate candidate progress;
  • Provide ongoing assessments and monitor case progression, making recommendations for improved outcomes;
  • Liaise closely with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of candidates to ensure seamless support;
  • Develop and deliver training programs for atWork staff on psychological services and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate candidates with multiple disabilities and barriers to employment;
  • Deliver evidence-based counselling interventions, drawing from diverse psychological theories and models;
  • Refer candidates to relevant support services to overcome identified barriers;
  • Evaluate assessment findings and track case progression, informing recommendations for improvement;
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community agencies to provide holistic support to candidates;
  • Design and implement staff training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in psychological services and procedures.
