Job Description

Senior Financial Accountants play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Manager and CFO at Zonda People. This is a superb role that will challenge you and allow you to add immediate value to the team.

You will work closely with the established finance team of six, assisting with various aspects of accounts receivable, payable and payroll. Key responsibilities include:

  • Champion AR, monthly billings, issuing statements for all resident accounts.
  • Entering cash receipts
  • Debt collection
  • Manage residents' queries regarding statements / fee information.
  • Safeguard and maintain Medicare and Services Australia fees and payments.
  • Monthly preparation of debtor report.
  • Entering journals for the AR entries
  • Payroll Processing fortnightly 800+ employees.
  • Responding to management or employees' queries
  • Reconciliation and payroll journals
  • Month End Duties
  • Prepare monthly P/L reports actioning variance between actual and budget
  • Assist Balance sheet reconciliations,
  • Maintain chart of accounts,
  • Manage monthly accrual and prepayment schedules and their reconciliations.
  • Monthly intercompany interest calculation for the fund
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • CPA qualified.
  • Two plus years' experience as an accountant in residential aged care in Australia.
  • Working in a volume driven timeline orientated environment.
  • Excellent organisation and multitasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • A person with a can-do attitude, who can own the role and who thrives on variety.
