About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Consultant to join our dynamic team at the Women's and Children's Health Network.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and timely HR advice to managers and staff, and practical assistance on operational issues regarding conditions of employment, departmental HR policies and procedures, and other SA Public Sector guidelines.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to Vacancy management processes, undertaking a range of activities associated with recruitment and selection, and extracting, preparing, researching, and developing reports on HR information for presentation to clients.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • A sound level of communication skills, including the ability to provide advice and options to a diverse range of people on people management policies and procedures, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively under general direction and organise work to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in providing an advisory and/or operational service on human resource management matters in a diverse environment, including researching and analysing information and preparing reports.
  • Ability to undertake minor investigations and research and prepare correspondence of a sometimes sensitive and highly confidential nature.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, which facilitate effective working relationships.
