Data Engineering Lead

">Job Description">

We're seeking an experienced data engineer to lead our team in developing and implementing robust, scalable solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with business units to deliver timely, accurate, and secure data availability for decision-making.

">Key Responsibilities:">
  • ">
  • Design and deliver scalable data solutions: Develop and implement integrated data platforms using modern technologies (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, DBT, Azure Cloud) to meet the evolving needs of national business units.">
  • Champion data governance and literacy: Promote strong data governance practices and drive data literacy across the organisation by engaging stakeholders and supporting analysts and data scientists in using data effectively.">
  • Manage and optimise data infrastructure: Monitor and enhance the performance of the data warehouse and analytical tools, ensuring timely, accurate, and secure data availability for decision-making.">
  • Provide technical leadership and support: Act as a subject matter expert on data engineering projects, offering third-level technical support and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to troubleshoot and improve systems.">

  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience">
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate">
  • Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate">
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Data Technologies - SQL, Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory">
  • Work experience developing code in Python and DBT">
  • Demonstrated experience in completing and managing multiple projects">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment">
  • Customer-focused with the ability to understand market and strategic drivers">
  • Proven ability to write effective, scalable code to solve complex problems using an analytical and data-driven approach">
  • Attention to detail with a penchant to test, learn, understand, and continuously improve accuracy and performance of code">
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations/environments, balance multiple priorities and stay focused">
