First Mate Position

This role involves working closely with the Vessel Master and Engineer to manage daily vessel operations, ensuring exceptional crew performance and delivering unforgettable experiences to our guests.

The ideal candidate will have proven abilities in delivering exceptional customer service, communicating effectively, managing crowds, being reliable, self-motivated, and proactive, and conducting safety drills confidently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Vessel Master with administration and safety duties
  • E nsure guest safety, satisfaction, and optimal vessel and engine performance
  • Assist with watch-keeping, vessel handling, and navigation
  • Conduct regular onboard safety drills and crew training
  • Manage Deck Crew performance and training compliance
  • Promote high team performance and professional presentation
  • Address guest concerns promptly to maintain excellent service
  • Delegate daily tasks while ensuring marine standards are met
About You

Applicants should possess relevant maritime qualifications including a minimum Master 24, MED 3 or Coxswain Grade 1, HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, HLTAID015 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Apply Oxygen Resuscitation, QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol, and QLD Working with Children's Check (Blue Card).
