About the Role
As a Sterilising Technician at Calvary Care, you will be responsible for the processing and distribution of reusable medical devices used for patient care. This involves ensuring that all instruments, reprocessing methods, and the working environment adhere to standards, policies, and procedures. You will work primarily in the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) and may have the opportunity to cross-skill in the Calvary Endoscopy Department as a cleaning technician reprocessing endoscopes.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Collect, clean, package, sterilise, and store reusable medical devices
• Complete documentation in accordance with established policies, procedures, and industry standards
• Participate in daily controls, testing, monitoring of compliance, and validation requirements
About You
• Previous experience working within a Sterilising Unit is preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of industry standards is preferred
• Certificate III in Sterilising Services or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain
• Good interpersonal skills within a team environment
• Ability to work a fully rotational shift work roster from 06:00 to 22:00 weekdays, and 08:00 to 18:00 Saturdays, with participation in on-call rosters
