Job Title: Front End Cashier Assistant / Trolley Assistant

Costco Perth Airport is seeking a Front End Cashier Assistant / Trolley Assistant to join our team during the seasonal period starting mid-November till mid/late January.

Job Duties:
  • Member Service: Greet members, assist with loading merchandise on the conveyor belt, ask about packing preferences, answer questions, and provide information on special promotions.
  • Item Retrieval and Packing: Transfer items not on the belt to a separate cart or flatbed, assist with getting supervisor verification for high-ticket or non-transfer items, pack member orders into boxes, and load them on a separate cart or flatbed.
  • General Assistance: Retrieve items such as boxes, register supplies, and merchandise requested by members to keep lines moving smoothly.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain the cleanliness of the register and general Front End area, report and clean spills and trip hazards immediately, and follow proper Front End and general safety procedures and standards.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate carts, flatbeds, large wheeled bins, clasping cart ropes, rolling mop bucket with wringer, mop, broom, click counter, 2-way radio, pallet jack, trash compactor, and cardboard baler.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Assist in other departments of the warehouse as necessary and provide prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Education/Training: None required
  • Licenses/Certifications: RSA preferred (state specific)
  • Experience/Skills: Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, cash handling (preferred), and basic math skills
  • Other Requirements: Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
