As a Heavy Vehicle Technician at RACQ, you will play a critical role in maintaining our fleet of passenger vehicles, light, medium, and heavy-duty commercial vehicles.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in motor mechanics, auto electrical, or diesel mechanics, with a focus on diagnosing and repairing complex faults.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service and repair RACQ's fleet vehicles, including pre-delivery and fit-out of new vehicles
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, auto electrical, and engine management faults
  • Install and maintain computer and telecommunications equipment
  • Maintain and repair workshop equipment as required
Requirements
  • Qualified Automotive Professional: Relevant qualifications in motor mechanics or related trade (auto electrical or diesel mechanics preferred)
  • Heavy Vehicle Experience: Beneficial but not essential
  • Licensing: Current C Class driver's license required; MR/HR licenses highly regarded
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a range of benefits, including financial assistance, discounts on banking products, and paid volunteer leave.
