Senior Financial Manager

The role of the Senior Financial Manager is to provide financial expertise and support to editorial teams in creating high-quality journalism. This involves acting as a strategic finance partner, managing cost bases, leading budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing insightful analysis on financial performance.
This position requires strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders. Expertise in core financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting, is essential. Experience in media/publishing, managing staff costs, and using systems such as D365, TM1, SAP, or Tableau is ideal.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a strategic finance partner to editorial leaders, providing clear, actionable financial insights.
- Manage and control the entire Editorial cost base, focusing on staff and content-related expenses.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for all editorial cost centers, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Provide insightful analysis on financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and growth.
