Job Description

A senior design engineer with extensive experience in mechanical services design is sought to join a dynamic team working on tier 1 projects in Sydney. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of HVAC systems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project management and site teams to deliver mechanical services projects for major builders.
  • Create and defend HVAC designs that meet clients' needs, comply with codes, and ensure seamless functionality.
  • Review concept designs for Value Management opportunities and lead them from heat loads calculations to equipment sizing and selection.
  • Detailed knowledge of National Construction Code requirements, including passive fire rating and AS standards.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers within the organization.

Requirements

  • Possess a degree in mechanical engineering recognized by Engineers Australia.
  • At least ten years of HVAC design and construction experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive experience in heat load calculation using CAMEL or equivalent software.
  • Proficient in Excel and Bluebeam software.
