About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aged Care Support Worker to join our team at KinCare in the Orange area. As a Home Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly customers, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our customers.
- Assist with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring our customers have access to nutritious food and groceries.
- Offer social support and transport to lifestyle activities, helping our customers stay connected and engaged with their community.
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as medication management and assistance with mobility and therapy goals.
- Offer respite and emotional support to our customers and their families, providing a sense of relief and comfort during challenging times.
- Transport customers to appointments and social events, ensuring they can access essential services and maintain their social connections.
- Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, including dementia and other complex conditions.

What We Look for in a Care Worker
- A Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability, or Nursing.
- At least 6 months of experience in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications.
- A genuine passion for assisting our aged community and helping them live independently at home for longer.
- A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, as travel is an essential part of the role.
- The ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, even in challenging situations.
- Availability to work at least 3 days a week, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work required.
- Comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask for help when needed.
