Cloud Engineering Expert

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Engineering Expert to join our Platform Engineering team. As an experienced engineer, you will be responsible for re-architecting our platform to run on public, private, and hybrid clouds, ensuring seamless integration with external networks.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of cloud infrastructure, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns, as well as proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, Terraform, Pulumi, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leveraging knowledge of cloud services like AWS (EKS, EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, VPC networking, S3) or equivalent cloud providers
  • Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive pragmatic solutions and impactful design decisions
  • Providing technical leadership and coaching junior and senior engineers while championing best practices across the team
  • Maintaining expertise in reviewing architecture/designs from team members, identifying problems, and suggesting improvements
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • At least 10 years of experience designing, building, and architecting software in an enterprise environment
  • Advanced knowledge of at least one programming language and familiarity with Object-Oriented programming concepts
  • Experience driving projects to impact and delivering results
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
