Heavy machinery is a crucial part of many industries, including mining and construction. As a Heavy Diesel Fitter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of these machines.

Job Description

The primary function of this role is to perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and haul trucks. This includes tasks like oil changes, filter replacements, and troubleshooting electrical issues.

Additionally, you will be responsible for inspecting equipment to identify potential problems before they become major issues. Your goal will be to minimize downtime and ensure that our fleet remains operational at all times.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Cert III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent qualification
  • Post-trade experience working in the mining or heavy earth moving industry
  • Experience with general maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs, and servicing of heavy earth moving equipment

Strong interpersonal skills are also essential, as you will be interacting with colleagues and clients on a regular basis.
