The Role

You will be responsible for facilitating and conducting high-quality training and checking to support our Rotary Wing operation.

We operate a fleet of five rotary wing aircraft from three bases in Archerfield, Cairns, and Townsville. Our team provides aeromedical retrievals, search and rescue, and law enforcement support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and conduct high-quality training and checking to support QPS aviation operations
  • Work closely with our team of highly trained personnel to deliver safe and effective rotary wing operations
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and innovation in all aspects of your work

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current Australian Air Transport Pilots Licence (ATPL)
  • A Flight Instructor Rating (FIR) - Multi Engine or previous Military Equivalent
  • A Low Level Rating
  • A Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) Rating
  • A Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating - 5 Renewals
  • A minimum of 2500 hours total time
  • A minimum of 1500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) Helicopter
  • A minimum of 500 hours Night PIC Helicopter
  • A minimum of 1000 hours Multi-Engine PIC Helicopter
  • A minimum of 1200 hours Turbine Helicopter
  • A minimum of 100 hours NVIS Operations
  • An Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
  • A Valid Class 1 Aviation Medical
