About The Role

Sanctuary Care, a subsidiary of Mounties Group, provides in-home care services to enable clients to live independently with support.

We are seeking a compassionate and nurturing Community Support Specialist to join our team to provide support for our clients across Southport, QLD, on a Casual or Part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Accompany clients during daily activities, running errands, and participating in outings
  2. Prepare meals and assist with grocery shopping
  3. Assist with personal care and hygiene, including showering and dressing
  4. Perform household tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and folding clothes
  5. Provide social interaction and companionship
  6. Transport clients to appointments

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. A Certificate 3 in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
  2. At least one year of experience in aged care or disability support
  3. A current COVID-19 Vaccination
  4. A current Police Check or willingness to obtain
  5. A current First Aid Certificate, including CPR, or willingness to obtain
  6. A reliable vehicle and relevant insurances
  7. A Dementia care qualification (desirable)
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
