About the Role

Are you a strategic thinker with expertise in logistics financial management? Do you have a passion for driving cost efficiency and improving processes?

We are seeking an experienced Chief Logistics Financial Manager to join our dynamic team at Samsung Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and distribution of performance reports to stakeholders, including Finance, Logistics Managers, and Product Managers.
  • Provide timely and accurate monthly cost management and freight reports, including insightful variance analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of process constraints, target cost-saving projects, and trace costs back to underlying activities.
  • Partner with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure SOPs are followed while meeting KPIs and cost targets.
  • Prepare logistics cost and cost ratio forecasts, reviewing them with Finance monthly to ensure corporate finance targets are achieved.
  • Undertake various ad-hoc projects, analysing and reporting on outcomes, and making recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting & Finance or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, demonstrating a deep understanding of logistics commercial management and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in Credit Risk Analysis is necessary to assess and mitigate financial risks associated with logistics operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relations is crucial for fostering positive relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
