GP Role in Rockhampton, Queensland

This is a General Practitioner position available in the city of Rockhampton, located in the state of Queensland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care and Chronic Disease Management: The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and manage chronic diseases effectively.
  • Procedures and Services: They will be required to perform skin checks and skin surgery, as well as travel vaccinations and sports injury management.
  • Diverse Patient Needs: The successful applicant will manage asthma, family healthcare, general immunisations, women's health services, and pre-employment medical assessments with confidence.
  • Additional Skills: They may also offer shoulder and knee injections, care plan development, and over 75's health assessments.
Requirements
  • Registration and Certification: A full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is mandatory.
  • Credentials and Training: Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development are necessary for success in this role.
  • Technical Skills: Sound clinical knowledge, diagnostic and decision-making skills are also essential.
