Design Electrical Systems Lead

We are seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design of electrical systems. As part of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of electrical systems to meet relevant safety standards and engineering codes.About this Role
  • You will lead the design of electrical systems including developing detailed drawings and specifications analyzing system requirements capacity cost and project needs and preparing technical proposals and reports.
  • You will work closely with other members of the engineering team to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget attending hosting or coordinating technical meetings as needed.
  • You will collaborate with clients consultants and regulatory bodies to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Designing electrical systems including substation utility-scale PV and BESS projects.
  • Developing detailed drawings and specifications including AutoCAD or other software key to the discipline of expertise.
  • Analyzing system requirements capacity cost and project needs and preparing technical proposals and reports.
  • Collaborating with other members of the engineering team to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Attending hosting or coordinating technical meetings as needed.
  • Collaborating with clients consultants and regulatory bodies to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
Requirements
  • B.Sc in Engineering or a recognized engineering qualification additional certificate in design is desirable.
  • 7+ years detailed design/engineering experience in substation utility-scale PV and BESS projects.
  • Experience in Renewable PV Solar Farm and/or large-scale Battery Storage projects minimum 100MW.
  • Experience with PV and BESS system design integration HV & LV AC & DC side.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards NER AEMO and NSP regulations.
  • Proficiency in HV substation design.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
