Workcover Specialist Role Overview

This challenging role will see you working closely with the Group Safety Manager to effectively manage and administer Workcover claims across all jurisdictions, ensuring the financial impact of workplace incidents is minimised.

As a Workcover Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support to injured team members, conducting investigations, and partnering with managers to facilitate reintegration. Your strong knowledge of WHS and Workcover legislation will be essential in ensuring compliance with procedures and legislation.

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to manage Workcover claims
  • Collaborate with medical and rehabilitation professionals to achieve sustainable Return to Work outcomes
  • Conduct thorough investigations to gather information and identify root causes of incidents
  • Provide timely and accurate advice to stakeholders on Workcover legislation and procedures

You will be an integral part of the team, working closely with senior stakeholders to drive safety initiatives and achieve business objectives.

About the Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive individual with a strong background in the Workers Compensation industry. Your excellent communication and problem-solving skills, combined with your knowledge of WHS and Workcover legislation, will make you an ideal candidate for this role.

  • At least 3 years of experience in the Workers Compensation industry
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., in human resources, law, or health and safety)
  • Strong knowledge of WHS and Workcover legislation
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
