Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Comminution Technician to manage and maintain our customers' Comminution equipment in the APAC region.
This role involves ensuring safe operations, conducting repairs and maintenance, and providing customer support on site. You will work closely with our HPGR team and Service management to achieve various business objectives including onsite safety, process improvement, and special projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Demonstrate unwavering commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of developing a world-class safety culture.
- Collaborate with the HPGR team on site and at the Perth facility.
- Provide exceptional service and customer support while onsite.
- Manage all onsite maintenance, repair, fault finding, and test tasks as per scopes of work provided.
- Recommend improvements to the Service Manager for the Customer's equipment that will reduce their Total Cost of Ownership (TOC).
- Develop strong relationships with key customers to ensure expectations are met and remedial action is taken to address issues.
- Exhibit a collaborative approach to ensure that customer needs are prioritized and satisfied to meet set service levels.
- Provide technical advice to the Site Service Supervisor for service and components for contracts.
- Ensure that preventative maintenance is conducted to eliminate or reduce plant downtime.
- Liaise with the appropriate Area Managers to ensure that installation and commissioning activities are undertaken in a timely and cost-effective manner for all works.
- Show flexibility under urgent or breakdown conditions to service customer requirements.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3–4 years relevant technical/trade experience.
- Experience working on heavy specialized equipment such as high-pressure grinding rolls, hydraulic, and rotating equipment.
- Hydraulic knowledge is desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Be available for a combination of workshop and field work.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office (Excel and Word), Email.
