Mental Health Specialist

As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a vital role in enhancing the mental wellbeing of students in our school community. Your primary responsibility will be to provide evidence-based intervention strategies for students with complex needs, collaborating with families and other professionals as necessary.
The successful candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of people. You will also have a clear understanding of legislative requirements regarding privacy of health information.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Qualification as a Psychologist, Social Worker, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Counsellor
- Full registration with AHPRA (for Psychologists and Mental Health Nurses)
- Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (for Social Workers)
- Practising member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) (for Counsellors)
As an Education Support Class Level 1 Range 4 employee, you will enjoy a high level of autonomy and minimal reliance on professional supervision. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and implementing professional support programs within an educational environment.
