Visual Merchandiser Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Visual Merchandising Specialist to join our team on a parental leave cover basis for 12 months.

  • This is an opportunity to build and maintain the VM programming calendar, ensuring it aligns with market strategies and needs.

The successful candidate will orchestrate retail activation strategies for store events, art exhibitions, partnerships, and cosmetic upgrades, while enhancing the brand story through creativity and commerciality.

About the Role

This position involves developing and implementing VM programming calendars to support retail ambitions under stakeholder guidance.

You will partner with market stakeholders to leverage regional client relations and event directions for market initiatives.

You will create and execute CVM components for clients, branding, and retail events, including offsite events and product launches.

Collaboration with regional CVM and event stakeholders on renderings, budget, production, vendor management, and implementation is key to this role.

You will establish and maintain relationships with floral, graphic, and production installation vendors to ensure results are on-brand and competitively negotiated.

Travel to markets and attend events as needed to support event implementation is also part of the job.

Selecting and installing merchandise for creative campaigns, ensuring proper styling and lighting for impactful presentations, is another important task.

Curating arts installations in selected boutiques is also part of your responsibilities.

Key requirements for this position include 4-7 years' experience in merchandising, visual display, styling, or related areas, preferably in luxury retail.

Knowledge of local vendor sources for display supplies, props, furniture, and flowers is essential.

You must demonstrate exceptional organisational and communication skills.

Ambition, flexibility, outgoingness, and enthusiasm are required, as well as the ability to work with diverse teams and present ideas to groups.

Flexibility in working evenings and weekends is necessary, as required.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is advantageous.
