About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Content Producer to join our SBS Chinese team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering multimedia content for our Chinese program online and on social media platforms. Your primary focus will be on exploring audio or video production for digital platforms, coordinating and overseeing the digital content production of the team, and generating, developing, and fostering content ideas within the team for the relevant platform and the Mandarin-speaking audience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source leads and produce regular online content generating traffic to meet KPIs.
  • Plan and manage digital content campaigns for key community events.
  • Generate, develop, and foster content ideas within the team for the relevant platform and the Mandarin-speaking audience.
  • Help drive and deliver the SBS Chinese Digital Media Content strategy.
  • Work closely with other Digital Content Producers on the team.
  • Produce multimedia content, including live videos, podcasts, and interactive digital online content using a variety of 3rd party apps.

About You

We are looking for someone with advanced editorial skills and experience in a digital journalism/production role. You will have a demonstrated track record of producing original stories about the Chinese-speaking audience in Australia and be able to produce digital stories within tight deadlines. You will have a rich understanding of the Chinese and Chinese-speaking communities living in Australia, digital content production skills using tools like various web, desktop, and mobile apps to produce highly engaging digital multiplatform content in the Chinese language, and an in-depth knowledge of SEO. You will also have proven ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and problem-solving on the go. Additionally, you will be a star collaborator and maintain productive relationships with colleagues and various stakeholders, including members of the Chinese-speaking communities in Australia.
