About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate In-Home Care Specialist to join our Day Team at Right at Home. This rewarding role involves providing personalized support to a female participant in her family home, promoting her independence and well-being.

The successful candidate will have a minimum Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or Individual Support and at least 1 year of experience in disability support work. A strong understanding of manual handling, PEG feeding, and medication prompting is desired, but not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily care activities, including personal care, medication assistance, and high-intensity supports.
  • Monitor the participant's well-being and report any concerns or changes to the RN team.
  • Use manual handling equipment (slide sheets, hoists) safely and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A minimum Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or Individual Support.
  • At least 1 year of experience in disability support work, preferably in a similar setting.
  • A current CPR/First Aid Certificate and NDIS Worker Screening Check or Yellow Card.
  • A valid Australian Driver's Licence and a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle.
  • A smartphone with internet access.
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
