Job Description

Role Summary

Zoos Victoria is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Casual Education Officer to join our team. As a Casual Education Officer, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of outstanding learning experiences that meet the needs of learners, educational institutions, and partner organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality learning experiences that align with Zoos Victoria's mission to fight extinction and create a future rich in wildlife.
  • Collaborate with educators and other stakeholders to design and implement learning programs that meet the needs of learners and educational institutions.
  • Ensure that all learning experiences are underpinned by best practice learning theory and are aligned with Zoos Victoria's moral purpose.
  • Work closely with the Education Team to develop and implement education strategies that meet the needs of learners and educational institutions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to learners, educators, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Teaching qualification and experience in working with an education-based setting.
  • Strong knowledge of best practice learning theory and education strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekdays during school term.
