About the Opportunity

The organization is committed to promoting community music-making and offers numerous short courses and lessons designed to provide adults and children with the skills and knowledge to pursue their musical interests, curiosity, or find a creative outlet for their talents in a collaborative group learning or individual environment catering to beginners right through to experienced musicians.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinating classes, events and lessons, providing administration and production support for short courses, workshops, festivals and individual lessons.
  • Promoting programs.
  • Addressing inquiries from staff, students, visitors, and the public through phone, email, and in-person interactions relating to courses and events.
About You
  • You will have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a range of cultural events with varying requirements and timelines successfully.
  • You will be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in handling a wide range of inquiries and providing excellent customer service.
  • You will possess advanced computer skills and experience including database management, Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites and CMS website management systems.
  • You will have a music-related tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience in a community, performing arts, or adult education environment.
  • You will have an interest in the promotion of community music education and music making.
