Job Description

The role of Operations Manager is a critical position in our Enterprise Services Team, responsible for overseeing the technical delivery of services provided by the Platform Development team. This includes managing staff responsible for application deployment, device configuration and provisioning, scripting and automation, and some application development.

  • Project Management Skills - You will be expected to be familiar with project management methodologies and can coordinate, allocate resources and track delivery of IT enabled projects.
  • The role also requires the ability to produce clear and accurate documentation, including change records aligned with ITIL practices, as well as design and process documentation to support ongoing service improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Strong customer focus - Maintain a strong customer focus by ensuring that all services are delivered with the customer in mind, aiming for the best possible outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

This role demands meticulous attention to detail and a continuous commitment to lifelong learning. A background in technologies such as Intune, Active Directory, SCCM, Group Policy, PowerShell, and C++ is desirable. Strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and effective communication skills are essential for this position.

  • Strategic Thinking- You will be expected to draw on your technical and business experience to make informed decisions aligned to the Department's goals.
  • Strong Communications Skills- You will be expected to be able to convey complex technical information in a manner that both technical and non-technical stakeholders will understand across a variety of mediums.
  • Leadership- You should foster collaboration, drive performance and inspire staff through effective management and leading by example.
