Designing the future, one drawing at a time. Moffatt & Nichol is seeking a highly skilled CAD Technician to join their Sydney or Brisbane office.

About the Role:

This exciting opportunity will see you work closely with our experienced designers and engineers, assisting in the planning and design of coastal and maritime infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transform initial design sketches and mark-ups into finished working documents
  • Draft detailed drawings of maritime and coastal engineering structures
  • Compute volumes of excavations and fill for dredging and earthmoving projects
  • Assist designers and engineers with preparation of engineering drawing packages
  • Assist engineers with fieldworks, site inspections and data collection

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV or Diploma Engineering Drafting or equivalent in relevant discipline
  • Up to 2 years of related experience
  • AutoCAD and/or Civil3D (essential)
  • Understanding and application of CAD standards
  • Good numeracy, geometry and computer skills

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Revit proficiency
  • GIS (QGIS or ArcGIS) proficiency
  • Knowledge of material properties
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards

Working Conditions:

Occasional travel required, with periods of sedentary work.
