Maintenance Technician

The role of a Maintenance Technician is to perform skilled maintenance and repair services of production facilities, systems and equipment.

This includes interpreting blueprints and schematic, implementing methods, practices, and techniques to identify and address recurring problems with machinery, equipment or parts.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to conduct periodic inspections to evaluate requests for repair, demonstrate machine trouble shooting, problem solving and fault-finding experience with PLC experience desirable.

Additionally, they will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance of RCDs, Emergency switches, circuit breakers and keeping records in relevant files.

Other key responsibilities include repairing/Replacing indoor and outdoor lights, switches, sensors and fans.

In order to be successful in this role, the following requirements must be met:

  • A WA A-grade Electrical License
  • Sound computer skills with common software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Proven safe work practices and commitment to safety
  • Great communication skills within a team environment and a team player with flexibility to assist all areas when needed

Desirable qualities for this role include 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
