Teaching Opportunity in First Year College

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to teach within our unique learning environment designed specifically for first year students.


About the Role

As a sessional academic, you will have the opportunity to engage with and get to know your students through teaching in small groups. This allows for close interaction and collaboration between instructors and students.


Responsibilities
  • Teach within VU First Year College and contribute to teaching into Bachelor of Education Studies and Bachelor of Early Childhood Education degrees.
  • Engage in the VU Block Model (one unit at a time) enabling small-group teaching and close student interaction.
  • Deliver four-week teaching blocks (typical schedule: 3 hours per day, 3 days a week).

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the college and university.
