Job Title: Software Product Owner and Project Manager

A challenging role awaits an experienced professional to lead the development, support, and operations team for a core enterprise administration solution. This position requires someone who can bring a product vision to life, align it with user needs and business goals, and drive ongoing improvements.

This is NOT a traditional IT Application Product Owner / Project Manager role. Instead, this position is deeply embedded in the business, acting as the voice of the customer and champion of business value. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to shape the product vision, define priorities, and ensure the platform remains aligned with strategic goals and continues to deliver meaningful outcomes over time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bring the product vision to life and ensure alignment with user needs and business goals
  • Manage application backlogs, new business initiatives, and process improvements
  • Support operations, defect resolution, and service management
  • Handle SDLC, deployment, and regulatory reporting
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant industry university/tertiary qualification or equivalent in Information Technology / Computer Science studies
  • 10+ years' experience delivering software-based applications projects to commercial business environments and ongoing operations support and management
  • Experience and knowledge of the insurance industry
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent knowledge of IT project methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering resolutions
