Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Spray Painter Specialist to join our team at a family-owned business in the Hunter Region. As a Spray Painter Specialist, you will be responsible for applying paint on all components produced in the workshop, inspecting vehicle surfaces for any rough spots requiring sanding or treatment, mixing and preparing paint for application, and powder-coating, checking the quality and depth of paintwork, and polishing the finished product.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply paint on all components produced in the workshop, ensuring high-quality finishes and adhering to industry standards.
- Inspect vehicle surfaces for any rough spots requiring sanding or treatment, and take corrective action to ensure a smooth finish.
- Mix and prepare paint for application, following established procedures and safety protocols.
- Powder-coat, check the quality and depth of paintwork, and polish the finished product to meet customer expectations.
- Operate a full paint extraction system, using the latest safety equipment, including a fully aspirated breathing apparatus.
Requirements
- Trade-qualified Spray Painter with a strong background in automotive paint technology.
- Ability to use suction feed spray guns with two-pack solid and metallic paints.
- Recent experience in the Automotive Spray Painting Industry will be highly regarded.
- Able to follow specific work instructions, have a keen eye for detail, and take pride in their work.
