Theatre Practitioner (Nurse/ODP) Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Practitioner (Nurse/ODP) to join our team at Nuffield Health Ipswich Hospital. As a Theatre Practitioner (Nurse/ODP), you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our theatre department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to patients undergoing surgery
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of theatre policies and procedures
  • Supervise and support junior members of staff
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and develop skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC or HCPC)
  • Post-registration experience in a theatre setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends
