Design Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Design Specialist to join our team. This is a critical role that requires a talented individual who can create exceptional designs that meet and exceed client expectations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building design or architecture, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality designs using computer aided drafting programs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing master drawings using AutoCAD that comply with customer contracts, quotations, design & construction requirements, and building authority codes and standards.
  • Producing sales plans and working drawings, including floor plans, external and internal elevations, electrical layouts, sections, and details from the design brief according to company processes and accuracy standards.
  • Liaising with stakeholders to ensure production of plans meet requirements.

Requirements:

  • A qualification in Building Design or Architecture.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a Drafting role in the housing and construction industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in computer aided drafting programs, preferably AutoCAD.
  • Highly skilled in building design concepts, practices, procedures, final documents, specifications, materials, and construction practices.
